Week 18 Weigh In: Finally!!!!
A quick recap. Week 17 I lost 1.2 pounds putting me at the 26th pound mark for the second time. This week I lost 7 for a total of 33 friggin' lbs! I have officially SMASHED the 200 mark and vow to never see that number again on the scale.
I thought I would never get there, but I finally made it to
I really appreciate the support and motivation I receive each week and I am so glad I decided to share my journey. I think that telling people (well EVERYBODY) keeps me accountable. I mean if no one knew, it would be so easy for me to binge without the guilt of someone knowing I gained 5 lbs last week. Now, someone knowing is the what keeps me on point. I know that without God, none of this would be happening. I have 85 more pounds to go, but I see the light at the end of the road. I can visualize myself at the finish line and I am ready to take on the next few months full force. Let's Go!

Progress Pics: Late Again
Its past that time again, but I need to post progress pics for April. I was persuaded to show all the pics for the 1st quarter of my journey to really compare the photos. I apologize in advance because I can't seem to remember exactly how I pose for each pic and my camera person is sometimes not in the best of moods and rushes me when I'm trying to get the right angles, but I digress...

I needed new pants and I may have to switch shirts in June due to it hanging from my stomach now. It is not holding snug like I need for progression pics. Yes, I'm claiming June as the month I finally "give birth to my 17 yr old baby" LMBO!
Spring Fitness Challenge: Time To Switch Up The Format
So along this journey, I have tried to change my routine (every week really) so that I am constantly keeping my body guessing. I do this by creating challenges. Some weeks it's all veggies, some weeks its interval training, or its high protein, low carb. I like it because I am trying new things; new workouts, new recipes and I'm never getting bored. There is always something to look forward to on Mondays and I think this is critical to maintaining a healthy lifestyle for LIFE.
Well to finish Spring off with bang, I created a new challenge for myself. From the beginning of April through June 20 (the first day of summer), I am going to get in bed by 11pm M-F, do full body weight training M/W/F, and 30 min Cardio 5 days a week 2x a day. Trust me, the bedtime part will be the hardest. I can hit the gym in my sleep. That is a crying shame.
Spa Day: Translation-Mental Health Reality Check
I believe two of my rewards in this year long journey is to cash in my Spa Day vouchers. Well, since I reached my goal of entering

it is time to cash that bad boy in! This idea actually came out of necessity. With school, work, and hitting the gym twice a day, I have been running myself ragged. My fiance' is feeling neglected and I'm seriously getting stressed out over crazy stuff. It is my T.O.M, but some things have been really ooc. I drive places and don't remember how I got there, I am losing concentration at work and to be honest, this week I was downright unproductive. I walked up to my supe and told her I needed a day off.
So this Friday is my spa day. No gym, no homework, just 70 minutes of hot rocks and ocean sounds. I really can't wait to close my eyes and rest for a minute. You never know how fast your going until you start to lose your mind! LOL
