In this blog, I am going to be totally honest about my journey with our personal trainer. Stephen Haynes, aka Monster, worked with us in 2010 at Golds and I lost 13 lbs in 4 weeks without dieting. So I know he's gonna be about that business. This time I'm going to have to meet him in the middle with healthy eating and a YES I CAN spirit.
With that being said, I was scared to walk in the building! Lol
The place is intimidating by the looks of it. It's not your average gym. In it's warehouse setting, I immediately felt like "This is where I will lose my lunch!" Lol But I am so serious. The first thing I asked him was for the location of his "Puke Bucket". He then proceeds to show me he has several around the place. As scared as I was, I knew I had too much at stake to back out now.
So I fussed a little about the heat. I function so much better with the AC on, but I understand why it's a sauna in there. Sweat. I have no problems sweating. I can sweat sitting down. But our metabolism works overtime trying to cool the body down which helps me burn those calories, so the air stays off.
We did some football style footwork to warm-up and then got going on legs, abs, butt, and shoulders. Working with workout buddy #1 kept me motivated. Plus Monster and one of his regulars encouraged us after each set. We crawled out of the building, but by the time I got home, I was a ball of energy. Dirty winding and all! My hubby was amused.
But catch these T's- I burned this much without doing any traditional cardio work (tread/elliptical).
