Baby Steps to Onderland

 
 
Today, my BG4L (Big Girls For Life) crew decided to shake things up with a new challenge.  Get to Onderland by New Years.  With that specific goal, we then had to have a specific plan.  I call it the 3-6-9-12 plan where we eat 4 meals at 300 cals each, or 3 meals and a snack at 300 cals each.  It's up to us to make it a well rounded meal.  Once you use it, you lose it.  We have been encouraging each other all day and taking baby steps.  I cannot think about anything but the next meal.  The only thing in the future we are concentrating on is being 199 on Jan. 1, 2014. 
 
 
I have also challenged myself to get physical by walking 30 minutes a day until I LOVE IT again.  I know that only comes with consistency. Today, I did a lunchtime walk in the cold, but it really felt good in the end.  I seriously can't think of tomorrow, because I want to take this one meal and one hour at a time.  If I keep things simple, I will succeed again.

I can't believe I lost 40 lbs last year!  It seems like a lifetime ago, but I can tell you that it was the BEST feeling in the world.  Even better than the junk food I ate to pack it back on.  So this year will be about deciding what is more important.  Temporary happiness or a lifetime of feeling good about myself and my accomplishments.  I hate that people can tell that I have no discipline by looking at my waistline.  I don't think it has a thing to do with willpower.  I just don't have staying power.  This year will be about discipline and changing the game for myself.
So my 2013-2104 goals are not about pounds.  I want to make better choices with food, maintain a lifestyle of fitness, and never let food control me again.  The End. Lol
