A Brand New Year, Again!
I went to the doctor after avoiding her for almost a year and decided I was going to take this beating like a woman. As expected my numbers were out of control. She decided not to change the medicine (not that I was actually taking it), but to give me a chance to turn things around myself as I had done in 2012 losing 40lbs.
So here I am. A new year and a new attitude. I have big plans for this year and I need to be in good shape. 2014 marks my 20 year high school reunion! Um, yeah, it's been 20 years since I was a carefree teenager. It has also been 20 years since I was in shape. I vowed that I would not be fatter longer than I was slim, but that was a fail.
But, I don't live in regrets so once again I am committing myself to ME. Here's how this journey will start:
I think this challenge has kept me with consistency. If you skip workouts, it will be hard to catch up and my mission is to complete this and lose over 10lbs at the end.
I am back in the Dungeon, aka Monster Fitness. This will be my primary gym M-F and Saturday for the WOW Program. That is the Women's Only Weightlifting session. Today we did lower body weights and I started with 40lb weights. My lower half is all muscle because it has to hold up my top half where all the fat is. Here is a recent pic of me at the park:
That is not a good look for me, so that is why I'm back at this journey in full effect. My focus is on consistency. Every small change I make consistently will add up to the day I can say I did it!

I am introducing the Mr. to American breakfasts and overcooked fish. The pitfalls of marrying a reformed fast food addict. I will perfect it soon, but in the meantime, he still has to eat it.
This is the egg muffins I made from a You Tube video I found. You can eat them alone or between an English muffin. He said they were delicious, but I doubt I will make this again. 1) It took a whole carton of eggs and 2) I don't eat eggs. Does that make sense? There will be mistakes along the way.
