This will be short and sweet because I have to meal prep on Sundays, but I think a weekly update is needed. I am really proud of the things I accomplished this week. I worked out six days and on Thursday, I did two workouts. I can feel "beast mode" coming back and I am excited.
The number on the scale to the right has not changed because I refuse to weigh myself unless I have to (doctor's visits, contest finales,etc.). The scale is the devil!!! I rebuke it in the name of Jesus and I live my life in the pursuit of becoming stronger and stronger everyday. That cannot be measured on a scale, but on the differences I see everyday in the gym or on the track. BOOM!
Week Two Workouts
Tha Dungeon
I have been going to the gym (Tha Dungeon) after work and using the lower body weight lifting guide that Monster created for me last weekend. Yesterday we did an upper body session and it was brutal. However, his pregnant girlfriend was with us and I felt shame for quitting when she didn't, so I stuck with it. We did abs, laps, squats, steps, upper body weights, and BEAR CRAWLS!!! Damn them! We only did 5, but I thought I would die. The thing about bear crawls is that you only get better if you keep doing them, so I have to face them like the monster under the bed. You gotta deal with him if you want to go to sleep that night. (My best analogy, sorry)
Next week, I need to concentrate on getting my miles in. May have to walk during lunch everyday as well as Tha Dungeon at night, but I don't want to force this because I won't be able to stick with it unless it feels natural and easy. I know I can do it, but...
