Motivation/ Detoxing/ The Sweet Tooth Files

Let Me Be Your Motivation!

Right before the new year I created a motivation board with all the words and phrases that would uplift me during my journey.  I cut them out from my huge stack of magazines and got to work.  Now when I need a pick me up, I read over a word or two and keep my head in the game.

I use this as my background photo on my iPhone as well.  You can never have too much inspiration =)

Detoxing Discoveries
I've been experimenting with different detox smoothie recipes over the last few months.  In the process, driving my blood sugar through the roof!  5 different fruits in one sitting is not for everyone.
I googled green smoothies and found a recipe that really works:

Mango-Lime Detox Smoothie

1mango
1 lime, peeled
1/4 to 1/2 cp fresh cilantro, chopped
4 oz filtered water
Blend in a blender until smooth.  Add ice to blender for a thicker consistency.
I drink this on Sunday nights to start the week off right and also on Thursday nights before the weigh in on Friday morning.  For more green detox smoothie recipes and to learn more about their health benefits click here- http://www.incrediblesmoothies.com/smoothie-recipes/

 The Sweet Tooth Files

This week's pick is also last week's pick because I find it hard to eat popsicles when it's 45 degrees outside.  My friend Danielle put me on to these and I stood in the freezer aisle staring at the glass door trying to decide whether I should buy the no sugar added, or the regular.  This became a major decision!  Well, I ended up with this and I made the right choice.  The bomb.com!!! LOL

I'll file this under: Winning!

AWESOME... I just purchased some items to make green smoothies but have been too afraid to try them. I can't say that I'm going to join your 2lbs a week challenge, but I have started being more conscientious (1/23/12, lol) about what I'm eating. So I'll be taking this journey with you, in my own fashion. Thanks for the ideas!!! Keep WINNING...<3

Aww thanks Tee! I am glad this is helpful. I am going to try other flavors of smoothies next month. The 2 Down Pound Challenge is really an attitude adjustment for me. Taking baby steps. If I concentrate on 2, I don't have to think about 100! LOL
