Biggest Loser and Summertime Fine Updates
I am a month behind the ladies in the Summertime Fine contest. I'm not worried though because I know that the hardest part about these contests is staying in them. So starting 1/14/13, I will be in my 'in-it-to-win-it' beast mode! I have a personal goal to beat last years 4th place in the office Biggest Loser contest. At just 5 pounds a month, I'm not sure if it will be easy, but there is also a prize for the one who loses the most inches. Today's weigh in was a direct reflection of how my month has gone. I gained 1 lb, but I honestly wasn't trying. O_o
New Years Drama: Bloody Hell
What To Do, What To Do?: My 2013 Weight Loss PlanNew Years Drama: Bloody Hell
Some may have heard I spent last weekend bent over a sink for 4 hours trying to stop or at least control a nose bleed. It was a nightmare that would not end. 4 doctors visits, 2 cauterizations, and a nose plug later, I am back to about 95% functioning. I can't bend, lift, or do anything strenuous for 2 weeks so there goes my ambitous new workout calendar. I was ready to hit the gym full force (at least on paper).
Instead, I laid in bed for 3 days eating and watching The Young and The Restless, both of which I vowed never again to do. It is so crazy how a setback like a minor trauma or injury can throw you off your game. So although I am nervous about tomorrow's first Biggest Loser weigh in, I am also excited that I will begin to get myself back on track with eating and eventually working out. Five pounds a month is very realistic and I smile at the thought of knowing I will reach my goal at the end of each month instead of hoping. It is all up to me to put the actions behind the words. Let's go!

| Not a good luck for 2013 |
I had plenty of time this week to sit and think about how I wanted to lose the weight this year. I thought about juicing, but I like it much better as an occasional meal replacement. I thought about a weight lose clinic, but I really need to save money this year. After a few commercials from my favorite spokesperson JHud, I was tempted to give Weight Watchers another try.

The Crazy Sexy Diet (CSD) is basically "a low-fat, vegetarian (or vegan) diet that reduces inflammation and balances the pH of your gorgeous body with whole foods, low-glycemic fruits, raw veggies, alkalizing green drinks, and superpowered smoothies". The 80/20 approach is 80% alkaline foods (raw or steamed veggies), and 20% acidic (grains and occasional meats). I'm still reading, but to put it simple, my plate should be 80% fruits and veggies. This is very realistic.
